We wear the Mask

We wear the mask, that brings darkness to thier minds,it shadows their thoughts and corrupts their lies

We wear the mask, that to them, makes us look bad and no matter how hard we strive, change never seems to take our side

We wear the mask, that slows down our clock and speeds up their time,

We wear the mask, that makes him look back at us with smiles,while we can only try to keep up with our sadden frowns,

We wear the mask, that tairs us apart cuz of our own stupidity, but helps others beautify their community,

We wear the mask, that keeps us below, and not want to reach up for anothers hands to move foward,

We wear the mask, that codes our language and fails our culture,

We wear the mask, that speaks loud about them and whispers for us,

We wear the mask, that covers our truth and pretends to know,

We wear the mask, that allows the sun to shine for him and rain on us,clouds our skies and lights stars in their eyes,

We wear the mask, but we do not know why,and we question time after time,

Why do we wear the mask? if it does nothing for us,the mask does not better us as a people,the mask is just to cover our own race,reality and true way of life.

We need to realize whats good for us,and go after it with no restrictions,

No reason to sit back and wait,sit back and think,or stay back to fall

We need to realize that we are just as good as the rest,and never stay behind,never skip to keep up but always stay in line

So why do we wear the mask?

We wear the mask, because we are stubborn

We wear the mask ,because we have conformed year after year,and gave up

We wear the mask, because it is easier

We wear the mask, because we have no choice

We wear the mask...

TIGHT,MAD,PISSED

It’s when you ball up your thoughts and spit out your feelings

you cram all your emotions until you’re fixed in a box

Tight is when you hide in a corner cuz you just gotta be alone

So Mad that everything that’s built up makes you wana...Tick Tick Tick EXPLODE*

And pissed because no one gets it and no one understands

So you pace back and forth, you talk to yourself

And just minutes later you scream the last bit of mad you have inside of you

You’re tight because you don’t know what else to do

And pissed because you wish you knew

Soo mad that the tears that run down your face you'd easily replace with a pounding fist and nervous twitch

Extremely tight that you feel you wana pinch your skin but decide it’s better to just shake it off

But still mad because that idea wore off

You’re pissed to the point of not calming down

And everyone around keeps saying relax, calm that ass down

So again your back to being tight cuz no one’s words can ease your pain

No one’s presence can change your state

So the mad place you're in is so deep beneath your skin, it goes through your veins and peals out of your lil finger nails

You’re too pissed that you slap him, push her and run away to then fall

Which makes you more mad that it triggers embarrassment right back at tight

Mad is when you grind your teeth and puff your cheeks and you feel like your ears just blew out black/Gray steam..ya know like in cartoons

HMM, You get the picture?

When u have to use change in a store jus to buy something
Broke?
When u cant pay ya rent,and ur months behind
Broke to the point ya phone wont stop ringin n u ignore it,cuz u pickin it up n sayin 'il have the money' is nun but a lie
If u open ya wallet n have to laugh thas broke for ya
Broke? Ive been,but
I've neva been too embarrassesd
Jus had hard times that i got thru
Broke to the point u make window shopping fun ha
Weneva u crack open ya piggy bank thas a case of bein broke
or wen u find 5 dollars in ya old pants pocket & jump for joy for the next 20 seconds thas wat broke will do to ya
Broke is wen u cant put more than 10 dollas in ya gas tank for the next 2 weeks cuz u waitin on that big check..
Wait,is that broke??
Or are gas prices still outa control?
Eitha way u take it,il say ur broke till than
Wat about wen ur hungry n have no choice but to eat off the McDonalds dolla menu,or a Wendys value meal
And the only food u have in ya house is a slice of bread n sum butta
Hmm..
Bein broke and ashmed will keep u broke
But bein broke and humble will give u heart
Wen ur broke live wit it,and dont b afraid to find a betta way
Bein broke may make u cry,but at least u alive
It dont make u die
Broke is tellin u 'now u really gota try'
If u cant afford new school clothes,and ya wearin the same old ones,ya broke
Broke is wen u go to the movies n have just enough for u n ya date no snacks included lol
Bein Broke is no fun,but if ur determind to not b,mayb u can find fun in that
Again broke can easily b ur motivation Bein broke is no joke,in life we need money for everything,so without it we have nothing right?
Wrong
Even with broke,we still have much to b thankful for
Lets b thankful for the other things
air to breath and legs to walk
Mouths to speak and bridges to cross
Hands to touch and feelings to love
Emotions to express and the mind to think
B thankful for the clear stars in the blue sky.
Broke and no lights?
B Thankful for the sun its a source of light
Be thankful for whats real, and not material
Thankful for what we can handle
Lets b thankful for our seeds and the ability to grow
So if ur broke and cant b any other way
Remember one thing and one day things will always b okay
If nothing else at least b thankful for... THAT-^
